Biography
I qualified in adult nursing over twenty years ago. First working in a urology clinic and a ward setting, then Community Nursing, which then lead to developing into a Continence Nurse Specialist. As chair of the RCN Continence Care Forum, I am enthusiastic about supporting change by raising the awareness and the profile of continence issues so that they can be managed more equitably. I have a particular interest in bowel care, which is a part of continence management that can sometimes be forgotten. As the role of the RCN forum, I can be asked to represent the Nursing forum on National/international and RCN documents. In 2016 and 2017 Nursing Times awards Finalists for Continence Related topics.
