Topic: Photo at Discharge (PaD) / SSI
Brief presentation description:
Surgical site infection (SSI) is a significant quality indicator for patients, clinicians and policymakers. Public Health England reported a nationally significant reduction in coronary artery bypass grafts 2012-17, but in contrast readmissions for SSI increased over the same period. This presentation focuses on the Photo at Discharge, a value-based strategy to improve information to the patient and links to the community. The impact on the patient, staff and organizational perspective will be covered.
